Most people set goals - which they never achieve. Why? What is the difference between people who set goals and reach them, and the people who set goals and never come close?
I see a few differences:
1. You've got to have a really big dream, one that totally captures your imagination, that truly inspires you.
2. Choose a model, someone who has done what you want to do. Study every aspect of that person, their skills, their resources, and what they have achieved, so you understand what it takes.
3. Write down every detail of that dream, no matter how trivial it may seem. The more detail you can picture in your mind, the closer you get to your dream becoming reality.
4. Spend time each day picturing your exact dream. After you have built your dream picture, it doesn't take but 3-5 minutes a day to focus completely on it. That action will drive you to your dream's achievement.
5. Focus every action in your day on making some part of your dream a reality.
6. Wherever fear or doubt enter the picture, step right into them. Do whatever it is you fear, over and over, so it no longer looms as a stop on your dream.
7. Never ever ever quit.
Following these seven steps has proved to be very effective.
To Your Success,
Jane Avery

What Network Marketers Can Learn From The Walmart Business Model --
What is the lifeblood of ANY business?
Answer: Product movement to the end consumer.
Have you read Sam Walton's autobiography? His vision, the business model he pioneered, was brilliant. Walton started Walmart & Sam's Club. He said, "We will be the largest retailer in the world." And he achieved this goal because he found a way to move product to the end consumer at the cheapest price. How did he do that?
Walton said, "Do people care when they buy their groceries whether there's an acoustical tile ceiling, or if they see roof rafters and white bar joists?" The answer: They don't care. So he invented a business model where you have shelves with cases and cases and cases of soda pop.
In the evening, they bring that stuff down & fill the shelves. They stock the warehouse for ALL the manufacturing companies, saving those companies a TON of money.
Every Other Retailer Was Left In The Dust -
He built massive warehouses around the world. Then he talked to Scott Tissues, Hershey's, Johnson & Johnson, Levi's, all these companies: "Hey! Don't build expensive warehouses all over the place. Ship your products to MY warehouses, I'll store it. As we sell it, I'll pay you."
So when they scan that bar code, Scott Tissues knows Walmart sold 73 cases of paper towels today. The system tracks that sale. At the end of each day, Walmart sends each vendor the money.
Other retail outlets don't have the space - or the vision - to make that offer to suppliers. Instead, they buy the stuff in smaller quantity, store it in the back, and move it to the front as needed. There's no tall, tall, tall ceiling with products stacked way up above you. That's the way it's always been done. But that's not how Walmart does it.
Why Customers Choose Walmart -
So Walmart & Sam's Club pay less for identical products than other retail outlets. And they can pass the savings on to consumers, attracting throngs of buyers to their stores.
How does Sam Walton make money with Sam's Club? Off the membership. Again, that and the warehousing of products allow them to sell at a very low price. It's in the business model. Whoever figures how to move product to consumers at the best price, wins. Sam Walton proved that point.
How did he do it? He cut the overhead for all those companies, his product suppliers!
How does this apply in network marketing? Look at every company, every compensation plan. Let's say every company pays out 50% of retail to reps. Each product, no matter the cost, they pay 50% commission.
You can only cut the pie so many ways. If you pay 50% commission on $79.95, or 50% commission on the identical product at $39.95. Do you think a $39.95 product makes it much easier to sell twice as much or 3 times as much?
Cut the overhead, and you have a better chance to sell that product. You're not just competing against other network marketing products. You're competing against Sam's Club & Walmart, too. Your business model better let you make a good offer to the consumer, or you'll never succeed.
Whatever network marketing company finds a way to move the product to the end consumer at the best price, wins. And that's definitely who you want to build your future with.

Sunjing - relief in a handy roll-on applicator
Today I want to blog about one of my favorite Vitamark products called Sunjing.
Sunjing™ is cooling pain relief in a small roll-on applicator that is convenient to carry and to use. It is a combination of natural ingredients, each valued for the soothing comfort; as well as its aromatic benefit. Sunjing is grease-less and won’t stain your clothing. It has a clean, fresh, minty scent that is really refreshing.
Sunjing can provide hours of effective relief from minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backaches, arthritis, strains, bruises, sprains and muscle strain and stiffness that may come from sports, exercise or general activity.
I keep Sunjing in my purse and beside my bed. I call this product my always handy 'first-aid’ kit. I use it’s soothing aroma to give me respiratory relief when my nose and sinuses are stuffed up. I get up in the night to roll Sunjing on cramps in my legs or feet.
But I also use Sunjing to ease the sting of scratches and bug bites. It’s natural oils speed healing of these everyday skin blemishes and acne eruptions. I even roll Sunjing on my temples to help me with headaches.
Get Sunjing and have the relief you want at work, home or anytime you need quick first aid.

February Is My Favorite Month
My Cardiac Surgery Story
February is Heart Month -- Every year Dr. Mani conducts the Heart Kids Blogathon. I have participated in this event in the past. This year it will be a tweetathron on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14th.
I share my personal story because it is important for me to explain my interest in the work that Dr. Mani is doing. Dr. Mani is a pediatric cardiac surgeon working in India, who uses his Blogaton to raise awareness about, and as a means to support, his work helping children born with heart defects to get the surgery they need even when their families cannot afford this expensive surgery.
I was born with heart birth defects that were not discovered until I went into cardiac failure at age 26. I had been a tiny, sickly baby who was labeled ' not likely to survive'. But I did, however I was always frail and had pneumonia every winter. My constant cough was so pronounced that my high school classmates knick-named me 'Barky'. Every time I had a physical exam I was told I had chronic bronchitis. You see, the heart defect I was born with was multiple holes in the arterial septum of my heart. Because of the many small holes rather than one large hole, and because an ASD affects blood flow to the lungs, everyone thought my problem was with my lungs because that was what they heard..
At age 26 I was, of all things, working as an EKG technician in a small hospital in New England. Because I was working there I knew the doctors from Boston who came as consultants to see patients at the hospital. I was sent to Boston where many tests were done and it was decided that I would not live very much longer unless something drastic was done. Open heart surgery was suggested as being a possible solution for me. This was the spring of 1962 and open heart surgery was still very experimental.
I agreed to have the surgery. It was a very long procedure, requiring 30 pints of fresh whole blood of my type, B-negative, and a horizontal incision across my chest from arm pit to arm pit. Much was learned from those early surgeries about better ways to do things. The surgery saved my life, but I have lived all of the time since that surgery with problems resulting from the procedure.
I was in the hospital six and a half weeks. When the day came that I could finally go home, my parents asked my heart surgeon, Dr. Dwight Harken, about my prognosis. He replied that he hoped I would live another four or five years, but this was all too new for him to even guess. He then added that most of his patients didn't even live long enough to leave the hospital. Well, I fooled them all! Next month I will celebrate 48 years since that life saving heart surgery, and I have two beautiful, adult daughters born after the surgery.
This is why I believe in, and support, the work that Dr. Mani is doing saving the lives of children born with cardiac defects. He is Making a Difference in the lives of these children and it is my hope that in some small way telling my story will encourage others to make differences and change lives by what they do, say or write.

Clutter and disorganization BLOCK your prosperity!
When you begin to let go of what weighs you down whether it's physical stuff or mental stuff you open up the space for the Universe to bring even more good to you.
There is much written about prosperity, but very little about how being organized will help you create abundance.
Prosperity and abundance are part of the natural flow of life. Generally, you tend to view abundance and prosperity in terms of quantity not quality. You have been conditioned to believe that the more you have or own the more abundant and prosperous you are.
Prosperity and abundance are not about having more money or things. Prosperity and abundance are a way of being, a consciousness and a connection to the wholeness of creation. We all have the potential for prosperity and abundance in our lives; it is the natural order.
When you think in terms of quantity—more of something—it can set you up to come from a place of lack, a belief that you don’t have enough. When you feel that you don’t have enough, you will cling to whatever it is you think you don’t have enough of because it gives you a sense of security. However, the act of clinging creates a false sense of security and works to block the natural flow. The only way out of lack thinking is to let go of old ideas that no longer serve you, let go of clinging. -- Maggie McCauley

This blog needs renewal
This summer I have neglected posting here. It has been three months since my last post. My summer was not a planned sabbatical, a designated time of renewal, but rather one of those events, or periods of time, that just happen. I stepped back from this blog with sincere questions about its value. There were a number of questions that needed to be answered.
Some of these questions forced me to ask myself, was this blog serving a purpose that justified its existence? Did that purpose justified the time and energy I put into writing the posts? Was I doing enough to reach my audience? Do I know who my audience is? Do I have enough value to share with my readers? - - - the list of questions goes on and on.
In my time away from posting to this blog I discovered a number of things. First, I discovered that I really enjoy writing. It is a means of creative expression for me, but it has to be more than that to justify its existence because this blog should not be all about me.
Nevertheless, I do have knowledge and experience to share, information to help others have a better quality of life or overcome a problem they are facing. As a mentor, I can point network marketers to skills training to help them build their own successful home-based businesses.
The structure of this blog needs to change. The posts need to be shorter rather than long essay type posts. Perhaps posting complete articles to Ezine Articles and just ‘snippets’ of the article in the blog.
Consistency of posting is absolutely necessary. I have to make a schedule and stick to it with no more hit-or-miss posting.
With this new knowledge, I am making the commitment to post at least twice every week for the next three months. Then at the end of the year I will re-evaluate. I look forward to feedback from my readers to guide me as I move forward bringing new life to this blog.
